A local well-established Engineering company that is dedicated to providing high-quality generator services in Polk County is currently seeking a motivated and skilled Service Technician to join their team. What You’ll Be Doing

• Make service calls and schedule appointments directly with customers
• Perform routine maintenance on generators, including oil changes, filter replacements, and system inspections
• Diagnose and repair generator issues, from minor repairs to major component replacements
• Install residential generators and assist in setup as needed
• Complete service reports and documentation accurately using an iPad – must be comfortable with mobile technology and apps
• Communicate professionally with customers, explaining maintenance work, repairs, and answering general questions
• Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stocked and in working condition
• Ensure installations are completed safely and according to specifications
• Attend a two-day Generac training course in Jacksonville (all training and expenses paid) after 90 days of employment
• Complete all required training to enhance skills and knowledge in generator servicing and installation

Who We’re Looking For

• Prior experience servicing, repairing, or installing generators is preferred but not required
• Generac Certification preferred but not required
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills
• Previous experience in construction or skilled trades preferred
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions and performing physical tasks like lifting and positioning heavy equipment
• Comfortable using technology (iPad/tablets) to complete service documentation and work orders
• Excellent teamwork, communication and customer service skills
• Punctuality is essential—candidates must be dependable and cannot be late
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required

What You Can Expect

• $18.00 - $22.00/hr – depending on experience
• Schedule of Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
• PTO
• Paid holidays
