Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Individualized Planning:
- Conduct thorough assessments to understand clients' mental health needs, strengths, and goals.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to develop individualized rehabilitation plans that promote recovery and skill development.
- Rehabilitation and Skill-Building:
- Provide individual and group therapy to teach coping skills, stress management, and emotional regulation.
- Assist clients in developing essential life skills, including communication, problem-solving, and self-care.
- Support clients in setting and achieving personal and recovery-related goals.
- Crisis Intervention and Support:
- Be prepared to respond to crisis situations by employing de-escalation techniques and providing emotional support.
- Collaborate with crisis management teams to ensure client safety and well-being.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed and confidential client records, including progress notes and treatment plans.
- Prepare comprehensive reports for treatment teams, supervisors, and regulatory agencies as required.
- Community Integration and Advocacy:
- Help clients access community resources, employment opportunities, and educational programs.
- Advocate for clients' rights and needs, ensuring they receive equitable care and support.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's or Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field.
- Licensure or certification in mental health counseling or a relevant discipline as required by state regulations or the specific facility.
- In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders, evidence-based therapeutic approaches, and trauma-informed care.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to establish rapport with clients and their families.
- Strong crisis management skills and the ability to remain composed during challenging situations.
- Previous experience in mental health rehabilitation, psychiatric care, or related fields is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with legal and ethical guidelines governing patient confidentiality and treatment.
