Sune Saw Operator

The Sune Saw Operator is responsible for accurately cutting metal tubing and bar products to specified lengths using a Sune saw (or similar). This role ensures quality standards and customer specifications are met while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and adjust the Sune saw to cut materials according to work orders, blueprints, or production schedules.
• Use a hand saw or similar tools to remove rust or imperfections from bar and tube stock as needed.
• Verify dimensions and angles using measuring tools such as calipers, tape measures, and squares.
• Perform routine maintenance and checks on saw equipment.
• Maintain accurate production records and complete necessary documentation.
• Ensure parts are cut to high-quality standards, especially for high-profile customer jobs.
• Keep work area clean and organized, following safety protocols at all times.
• Communicate with team members and supervisors regarding production needs or equipment issues.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Experience operating a saw (preferably Sune or similar) in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and measuring tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good time management skills to meet production schedules and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Dependable and able to work assigned schedule with minimal supervision.
• Must be a quick learner, as role may involve working on critical customer parts.
• Ability to lift up to 50+lbs and stand for extended periods.
