Real Estate Company is seeking a Director of Finance - specializing in Affordable Housing and Development to join their team.

Director of Finance

In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, account reconciliation and profit and loss reporting. The VP of Finance will oversee all accounting activities related to income auditing, accounts payable processing, accounts receivable collection, tax compliance and payroll. If you have a strong background in financial management.

Director of Finance responsibilities and duties

• Oversee financial operations; knowledge of acquisitions, asset management, and project development required.
• Manage and provide ongoing training to accounting personnel
• Conduct weekly and monthly financial, accounting and collection assessments and generate reports to be submitted to the senior management team and clients
• Establish budgets in accordance with the requirements of company departments
• Develop annual financial plans and projections for the company
• Conduct analysis of financial risks and benefits on business initiatives
• Process all banking needs
• Work with all building accountants regarding annual reporting and tax return requests
• Manage all Tax Grievances and Insurance Claims and renewals
• Manage all Mortgage Requirements, Analysis and Procurement
• Maintain all book balances
• Produce list of tenants to be sent to eviction at the end of every month
• Manage all Financial and accounting functions for New acquisition and accounts

Director of Finance qualifications and skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field (Master’s preferred)
• 10+ years’ financial management experience
• Strong knowledge of project-based accounting software
• Impeccable mathematics and analytical skills
• Able to meet tight deadlines and work evenings as needed
• Excellent computer skills
