Job Details

We are looking for a Safety Specialist to support and lead safety programs in the utility construction industry.

Qualifications

• A minimum of five years' experience supporting or leading safety programs to protect workers and the public and at a minimum must meet federal, state, and local regulations
• A minimum of two years' experience in civil or commercial industries responsible for overseeing the safety of construction)
• Must have a current Construction Safety certification
• Willing to travel 75% of the time, 100 miles from Stockton

Responsibilities

• Oversee the safety of over-head and underground high voltage electrical work
• Provide dedicated safety support for the work awarded within the contract scope
• The management of work practices and procedures that directly support the elimination of serious injuries and fatalities
• Coordination of efforts to ensure compliance with all applicable rules and procedures
• Orientation for all employees and subcontractors
• Any company or customer training requirements
• Coordinate and conduct field safety observations and subsequent corrective actions
• Manage opportunities to improve work practices and procedures
• Incident management and reporting requirements
