Job Summary:
Join our dynamic culinary team at a modern Japanese Sushi & Hibachi restaurant. We're looking for skilled kitchen professionals with strong wok, grill, and fryer skills—and ideally sushi or hibachi experience. Must be reliable, efficient, and passionate about food.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
• Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
• Support sushi and hibachi stations, if experienced (preferred)
• Ensure food safety and consistent plating standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, while adhering to safety regulations
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food service during peak hours
• Manage inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed
• Assist with food prep and inventory management
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced, team environment
• Weekend and holiday availability required (closed on Thanksgiving)

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a restaurant or commercial kitchen
• Strong skills in wok, deep fryer, broiler, and stovetop operation, as well as food presentation, and safety procedures
• Prior experience in Asian cuisine, especially Japanese (sushi, hibachi, teppanyaki) is a strong plus
• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food handling practices, and kitchen operations
• Multi-station chefs (kitchen + sushi, kitchen + hibachi) highly preferred
• Bilingual in English and Chinese preferred 
• ServSafe certification a plus
