Job Description

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of families navigating disabilities? We're looking for a compassionate, knowledgeable, and resourceful Family Support Specialist to empower families across Western New York. In this role, you'll provide one-on-one guidance, connect families to vital resources, and collaborate closely with schools and organizations to ensure individuals with disabilities get the support they deserve.

Ideal candidates are strong listeners, relationship builders, and champions of inclusion — preferably with lived experience as a parent or recipient of disability services. If you’re ready to turn your empathy and expertise into real impact, we’d love to hear from you.

Family Support Specialists will have base knowledge in Child Development, Special Education Effective Advocacy, access to supports and services and systems of care.

Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS in education or related discipline, specific graduate degree) and a minimum of 4 years related experience or an appropriate combination of education, human service/training and specific discipline-related experience. Preferred to be the parent of an individual with disabilities, or who is currently, or has been in the past, a primary consumer of disability services.
