We are looking for a detail-oriented, proactive Project Accountant to join our team.

This role is critical to the financial success of our projects, ensuring costs are accurately tracked, reports are timely and precise, and that we stay on budget while maintaining quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Track and report on project costs, budgets, and progress billings

• Monitor job profitability and assist with cost-to-complete forecasting

• Work closely with project managers, field teams, and the controller to ensure financial alignment

• Assist with job cost allocations, change order tracking, and subcontractor billing

• Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for ongoing projects

• Reconcile job cost reports and resolve discrepancies

• Support monthly close processes as related to project accounting

• Maintain organized documentation for audits and internal reviews

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• 2+ years of accounting experience; construction industry preferred

• Familiarity with job costing, AIA billing, and WIP schedules is a plus

• Strong Excel skills and experience with construction accounting software (e.g., Foundation, Viewpoint, Sage, or similar)

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with operations and administrative teams
