Summary: The Quality Control Lab Technician is responsible for testing and releasing all incoming materials, in-process samples, and finished products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Perform appropriate identification of raw materials using FT/IR.

· Performs purity analysis on both raw materials and finished products via appropriate methods (pH, Moisture, DT, etc.)

· Prepares raw materials and packaging components for testing.

· Notifies QC management when OOS test results occur.

· Ensures timely release of raw materials and finished products.

· Assists in the activities for qualifying/validating laboratory equipment.

· Prepares technical documentation, including test reports, analytical test procedures, stability reports, and change controls.

· Reviews consumer-facing labels label for compliance against MLC

· Assists in laboratory equipment qualifications, calibrations, and preventative maintenance programs.

· Authors SOPs, methods, stability protocols, and /or related QC procedures

· Assists in OOS investigations and implementation of corrective actions.

· Maintains complete and accurate records and logbooks.

· Establish and control inventory of necessary standards/reagents.

· Plans, schedules, coordinates, and documents the storage, pulling, and testing of stability samples

· Performs other duties as assigned by QA/QC Management

Work Experience/Qualifications:

· Minimum 3 years of laboratory experience in nutraceutical/pharmaceutical/cosmeceutical

· Working knowledge of applicable safety and standard guidelines such as SOP, cGMP, GLP, and MSDS

· Hands-on experience using analytical instruments such as HPLC, UV-Vis, AA, FT-IR, GC, dissolution tester, disintegration tester, melting point apparatus, pH meter, and analytical balance

· Experience in OOS investigations and CAPA

· Knowledge of ICH stability guidelines

· Good interpersonal skills

· Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

· Ability to follow instructions

· Good attendance and punctuality

· Ability to work well under pressure

· Ability to read, write, and speak English

· Ability to perform basic math

· Flexibility to changing priorities, work schedule, and the needs of the business

· General proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

· Good organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Education Requirements:

· Minimum science degree
