Printer Technician Job Description

We're looking for a dedicated and skilled Printer Technician to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for the timely and cost-effective maintenance and repair of office product equipment, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction with our service and products.

Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Maintenance & Repair:
- Perform timely and cost-effective maintenance and repair of office product equipment.
- Accurately identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring optimum operating condition and maximizing equipment up-time.
- Conduct new equipment set-ups, reconditioning, and general technical service.
Customer Satisfaction:
- Promote and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Handle customer issues quickly and efficiently.
- Collaborate with other technicians to ensure optimum response times and customer satisfaction.
- Provide selective customer training to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
Technical Support & Installation:
- Provide technical assistance with the installation of new machines.
- Assist the sales department with new equipment to ensure proper placement and operation.
Inventory Management:
- Place orders for additional parts and supplies to refill inventory.
- Set aside parts and supplies based on the number of machines.
Quality & Documentation:
- Monitor machines for quality issues.
- Maintain detailed records of issues and solutions.
- Keep track of technician metrics such as response time, calls per day, and parts cost per call.
Team Collaboration & Leadership:
- Take leadership in communicating equipment problems and solutions to the team.
- Collaborate with other technicians to maintain efficient operations.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you'll need to successfully demonstrate and possess the following:

Ability to troubleshoot and think independently.
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Demonstrated ability to train end-users on equipment operation.
