CG Public House And Catering in Kennewick, WA is looking for one catering sales manager to join our 50 person strong team. We are located on 9221 W Clearwater Ave. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and engaged.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Present and sell company products and services to current and prospective clients.
2. Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific sales targets and to project the number of contacts to be made.
3. Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
4. Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
5. Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts.
6. Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
7. Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.
8. Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up.
9. Identify and resolve client concerns.
10. Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
11. Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
12. Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales.
13. Clearly communicate the clients vision and agreed upon details of their event so that staff can execute the clients expectations.
14. Contribute to a company atmosphere and culture that is positive, upbeat and promotes teamwork and positive outcomes for clients, guests and associates.Discourage complaining, griping and other negative energy.
15. Other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities

1. Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows and telemarketing, Chamber and other community events.
2. Follow-up for collection of payment.
3. May be required to deliver or work at a catering event.
4. Provide on-the-job training to new sales associates.
5. Participate in keeping the office neat, orderly and clean.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

1. Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
2. Sufficient computer understanding to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and proprietary catering and bookkeeping software.
3. Ability to persuade and influence others.Ability to develop and deliver presentations.Ability to create, compose and edit written materials.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques.This is normally acquired through a combination of the completion of a Bachelors Degree and three to five years of sales or marketing experience.
4. Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.
5. Work requires significant local travel to current and potential clients.Requires the possession of a valid drivers license within 60 days of employment.
6. Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel.
7. Problem solving and critical thinking skills required. This requirement is expected for positive resolutions to problems and stressful situations.

Working Conditions

1. Working conditions are customary for an office environment.
2. Work requires significant local travel, possibly in a catering van and in poor driving conditions.
3. May be exposed to stressful situations and must manage stress professionally.
4. May have to enter a commercial kitchen with slippery floors; non-slip soles are required.
5. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
6. Will be required to work frequent evenings, weekends and holidays from time to time.
