POSITION OVERVIEW

The Mural Artist will be responsible for painting murals and custom artwork, performing prep work and finishing work, and ensuring her/his work is done correctly, beautifully and on-time. Candidate must be capable of working in all art styles (from realism to abstract); and all subjects (from signage to landscapes to portraits). The ideal candidate meets the following requirements:

MURAL PAINTING

• Experience Required: 5+ years in Art Painting Field
• On-going, clear and effective communication.
• Be adaptable. Allow for quick changes in artwork and schedule.
• Paint murals and artwork of all sizes, styles, color palettes and subject matters.
• Work in all types of media, (we mostly work with water-based paint).
• Experience with faux finishing.
• Experience with sculpture
• Work from designs and reference images to ensure artwork matches clients’ expectations.
• Prep walls, including minor repairs, priming, flat painting, touchups and clear coats.
• Prepare sites for painting, including taping, masking, setting up ladders and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment on every job site.
• Provide any necessary support to the entire team to ensure a job well done.

• Excellent computer skills, with experience in GSuite, Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Illustrator, and ability to learn and work with additional required applications, and work with an iPad.
• Some knowledge of power tools.
• Legally allowed to work in the United States.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable automobile and computer

• Duties to be performed at studio, different job sites and possible travel.
• Ability to work long hours, in most weather; in loud and quiet environments; up high and in tight spaces; in dirty and pristine environments; from construction sites to museums; work with different personalities; be comfortable with clients, the public and video cameras watching; and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
• Willingness to work on ladders, build scaffolding, and operate scissor and boom lifts.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to remain in a stationary position of extended periods of time
• The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the studio and workspaces to access materials, equipment, etc.
• Ability to operate a computer and other productivity machinery, such a copy machine, printer, perforation tools, projectors, etc.
• Constantly communicates with vendors, clients, staff members, therefore must be able to communicate, converse with and exchange information
• Must be able to detect, determine, perceive, identify, recognize and assess from long distances
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to uphold the stress of driving and traveling
