Job Summary

Performs hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting/assessment, and repair work on pumps.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Cleans, lubricates, and performs other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
  • Dismantles and reassembles pump equipment using hoists and hand tools, as needed.
  • Operates and inspects all rental and branch equipment to diagnose defects.
  • Overhauls and tests equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
  • Examines parts for damage or excessive wear, repairing and replacing damaged or worn parts.
  • Troubleshoots and rewires electrical systems.
  • Tests mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Light fabrication.
  • Researches, orders, and maintains the inventory of parts for service and repairs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Maintains proper records in compliance with Griffin standards.
  • Maintain a neat & organized work area.
  • Perform all tasks in a safe manner.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years related experience or equivalent required.
  • Experience with diesel equipment, pumping equipment and pipeline specific equipment preferred but not required.
  • Experience with service programs such as John Deere Service Advisor, CAT and Cummins preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work independently performing in-depth technical equipment service and maintenance.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Must be able to interact with customers on a professional level.
  • Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to accurately take measurements, complete documentation to ensure quality craftsmanship, and reference proper standards.
  • Acute attention to detail, positive attitude.
  • Ability to manage priorities/workflow and multitask.
