Job Description

Timothy O'Toole's of Chicago is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in restaurant management and food service, with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role requires a leader who can manage staff effectively, ensure high standards of food production, and maintain operational excellence.

Duties

Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities.
Manage staff recruitment, training, and development to ensure a high-performing team.
Supervise daily operations to maintain quality standards in food production and service.
Coordinate banquet and catering events, ensuring seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and employee engagement.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the food service industry.

Skills

Proven experience in restaurant management, 5 years mnimum.
Strong knowledge of food production processes and best practices in food service management.
Excellent staff training and supervisory skills to develop team members effectively.
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in managing banquet services and catering operations.
Familiarity with POS systems and their application in restaurant settings.
Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills to interact with staff and guests alike.
