We are looking for a licensed Physician Assistant (PA)  to join our team on a PRN basis (2-3 days a week). The ideal candidate will have experience in wound care, suturing, and other injury-related treatments.
 
Join a dynamic and growing team! A trusted local leader in Occupational Health is expanding to offer urgent care and telehealth services. This key role, reporting directly to the Occupational Health Manager/Clinic Director and will serve as the lead clinical professional, providing guidance and establishing high standards. Responsibilities include offering occupational health services such as hearing tests, drug testing, DOT physicals, triage and urgent care services. Be a part of our commitment to exceptional care and clinical leadership. This is a great opportunity for a self-motivated, independent Physician Assistant to provide medical care for the day shift in a clinic with occasional client visits.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evaluating and treating patients, exercising best clinical practices in an urgent care and occupational health environment in a legal and ethical manner
  • Professional patient care
  • Treating all patients, and effectively discussing treatment plans
  • Documenting patient records and care
  • Correctly coding and billing for services rendered
  • Patient care follow-up
  • HIPPA compliance

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Texas Medical License, Texas Licensed PA, compact license, or interim Texas License to work as a PA
  • Willing to work PRN 2-3 days per week
  • Active DEA, D.E.A. active registration is required
  • Strongly prefer a PA-C, NCCPA certification for a Physician Assistant
  • Active BLS Certification
  • DOT Certification. If you are not currently certified, the company will register you for the training at no cost to you which must be completed within 90 days
  • Prior experience in Family Medicine, Occupational Health, Urgent Care or Emergency Care
  • Injury treatment experience
  • Previous experience in an urgent care, ER, or full-service walk-in medical clinic
