Job Description

Position Title: Field Intern (Seasonal)
Location: Based out of Idaho Falls, ID (travel to various grower storage cellars in the area)
Duration: Approximately 3 months

Start Date: Aug 22nd 2025

End Date: TBD Approximately Nov 19th 2025
Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Hours: 40 hrs/week

Compensation: $18/hour. Overtime eligible
Bonus eligibility upon successful completion of the project ($750)

Internship Positions Available: 4

Responsibilities:

Collect potato samples from assigned storage cellars, following a scheduled route
Accurately label and log each sample using provided tracking tags
Ensure proper documentation and handling of sample data
Maintain cleanliness and organization of sampling equipment
Work collaboratively with other interns and quality team members
Follow all safety and food handling protocols

Requirements:

Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in cold storage environments
Strong time management skills and highly dependable
Basic computer skills
Data entry
Attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork are essential

Preferred (not required):

Background or interest in agriculture, food science, or quality assurance
Working knowledge of USDA potato grade specifications
