Case Manager – Personal Injury Law Firm

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position for a Case Manager at Winder Law Firm. The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience managing a heavy caseload of personal injury cases from intake to disbursement and is a motivated self-starter who can work independently while also collaborating closely with the handling attorney and legal assistant.

Duties include but are not limited to client intake, gathering and analyzing medical records, drafting demand letters, resolving property damage claims, assisting clients with treatment-related questions, and handling health insurance subrogation issues. The position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of pre-litigation personal injury cases, including auto accidents, dog bites, slip and fall, premises liability, pedestrian accidents, and government claims.
• Conduct new client intake interviews and assess case viability.
• Open insurance claims, confirm coverages, and send letters of representation.
• Request and analyze medical records, police reports, and other relevant documents.
• Prepare demand letters and negotiate bodily injury claims with insurance adjusters.
• Assist clients with treatment-related questions and coordinate medical care.
• Handle property damage claims and negotiate fair settlements.
• Manage health insurance subrogation issues and resolve lien-related matters.
• Track case progression, ensuring deadlines and statutes of limitations are met.
• Work closely with attorneys and legal assistants to move cases efficiently toward resolution.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience handling personal injury matters.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Filevine (or other case management software).
• Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced work environment while managing multiple cases.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Experience interacting with adjusters and medical providers to negotiate claims effectively.
• Ability to respond quickly to client needs and maintain exceptional client communication.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Expected Hours: 35 – 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• Personal injury law: 2 years (Preferred)
