Nurse Manager Key Responsibilities:

• Direct day-to-day clinical operations of a busy urban Emergency Department
• Supervise ED nursing staff and foster a culture of clinical excellence, collaboration, and accountability
• Coordinate care delivery with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Manage department scheduling, staffing, and budget oversight
• Monitor quality assurance, patient safety, and performance improvement initiatives
• Ensure full compliance with hospital policies, NYS DOH, and regulatory standards
• Serve as the communication bridge between frontline ED staff and hospital administration

Nurse Manager Qualifications:

• Active New York State RN License – required
• At least 5 years of nursing experience, with 2+ years in a leadership or charge RN role in an emergency setting
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications – required
