Location: Austin, TX
Duration: 12+ Months
Engagement Type: W2 Contract (no C2C)
Client Industry: Government / Health & Human Services
iSphere is hunting for a seasoned Data Integration Analyst / Developer who doesn’t just move data—they orchestrate it. You’ll be joining a hands-on agile team supporting the Texas Integrated Eligibility Redesign System (TIERS), helping design, develop, and maintain the core Data Integration Hub that powers key state services. This is a role for someone who knows how to translate raw business needs into beautifully engineered solutions—and who enjoys working with others who love solving hard problems.
What You’ll Be Tackling
You won’t be sitting on the sidelines. You’ll be right in the middle of a highly visible, agile-based SDLC effort, doing the following:
Implementing and configuring the infrastructure for the Data Integration Hub
Designing and developing using Informatica IICS, PowerCenter, and complex SQL scripts
Automating data acquisition from a wide variety of sources like Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, Excel, Access, and PDFs
Creating and transforming dimensional models, views, and materialized views in Oracle
Collaborating with Architects and Data Engineers on optimal data strategy and technical design
Validating performance metrics, creating Epics, User Stories, and Task flows
Testing everything—integration, load, stress—and publishing solutions both internally and externally
Supporting and enhancing an internal Java-based web app that serves Tableau dashboards to various user roles
Participating in sprint ceremonies, requirements sessions, mockups, documentation—you’ll have your hands in all of it
The Tech Toolbox You’ll Need
Required Skills:
8+ years developing ETL workflows in Informatica (IICS, IDMC, or PowerCenter)
8+ years working across multiple data sources, integrating data for Tableau or other BI tools
Advanced SQL scripting skills—you know how to optimize, troubleshoot, and scale queries
Strong analytical chops and experience supporting performance management systems or data warehouses
Technical writing, modeling, and documentation skills using tools like Visio, Erwin, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project
8+ years of Python scripting experience—especially for testing and automation
Familiarity with defect tracking, risk mitigation, test case development, and validation procedures
High attention to detail, a self-starter mentality, and excellent time management
Can work independently or as part of a cross-functional team
Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times
Preferred Skills:
Experience enhancing automation frameworks and AI-enabled regression suites
Hands-on work with AI platforms, observability tools, or scalable test infrastructures
A passion for software quality and a track record of process innovation
