We are looking for an experienced, skilled and dedicated professional to join our growing Florida branch in the Tampa areas. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of commercial/residential roofing experience, strong attention to detail, leadership skills, motivation and a desire to move up the ladder!

The Commercial Roofing Superintendent will be responsible for supervising roofing projects and upholding Roof Depot’s high safety and quality standards. Communicate with the project managers, associates, vendors, and clients. Some primary duties/responsibilities include:

• Examine and inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to ensure safety compliance and correct specifications are being met

• Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures to determine the best way for installation of the roofing systems

• Be Problem-Solving and Adaptable. Must be able to identify potential problems before they arise and determine as well as implement effective solutions to those potential problems

• Lead, motivate, coordinate, and train associates

• Complete daily and weekly reports; update management on project progress and issues

• Coordinates and schedules the work activities of tradespeople, professionals, and laborers, communicating to and via project foreperson to deliver instructions and project assignments as appropriate

• Ensures specifications and regulations outlined in architectural and engineering plans are followed.

• Monitors budget throughout the project and communicates variances as they occur

Required Skills/Competencies

•Must have knowledge and experience with multiple roofing systems (Shingle, Metal, Tile, and TPO roofing systems)

•Good verbal and written communication skills

•Excellent Organizational Skills, detailed-oriented, self-motivator, and can follow orders

•Computer and Digital Camera skills required (Microsoft Word and Excel skills is a plus)

•Must speak English (bilingual in Spanish is a plus)

•Must met our driver eligibility requirements (Motor Vehicle Driving Record Report will be processed)

•Ability to work under pressure.

•Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug test

Education and Experience

•High school diploma, GED or equivalent

•At least 5 years of experience in building/roofing trade required

•OSHA 10 Hour, and Equipment Certifications as required must be obtained within first 60 days of employment

Physical Requirements

•Must be able to tolerate extreme heights

•Must be able to climb roofs of varying pitches and heights (flat to 8/12 pitch)

•Must be able to lift 80 lbs.

•Must be able to work outdoors in varying and extreme climate conditions

•Must be able to tolerate loud noises
