The Naval Academy Athletic Association (NAAA), founded in 1891, is a nonprofit organization whose objective is to "promote, influence, and assist in financing the varsity athletic programs of the midshipmen of the United States Naval Academy" in accordance with the policy of the Superintendent of the Academy. Through an intercollegiate athletics program that is one of the largest in the country, every midshipman is afforded the opportunity to compete in athletics at the Division I level. The emphasis on physical fitness is borne out in the first line of the mission of the U.S. Naval Academy: To develop midshipmen morally, mentally and physically.
Summary
This position’s primary role will be to oversee the evaluation process within the recruiting department. The position will be the primary recruiting office liaison for all coaches and will oversee all interns and student assistants assigned to each coach.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Work in conjunction with the Executive Director of Recruiting to develop an evaluation process for all current and future recruiting classes
- Assist coaching staff with recruiting needs
- Manage an effective communication plan based on player evaluations and coaches’ needs.
- Assist the Director of Player Personnel and Executive Director of Recruiting in the day-to-day operations of the recruiting department.
- Maintain and update all information in the ARMS platform
- Communicate with coaching staff in regards to their current and future recruits
- Tracking and maintaining all scholarship offers
- Tracking all targeted recruits and their various offers and commitments
- Communicating directly with prospects via social media including but not limited to, issuing questionnaires and obtaining transcripts.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Experience, Education, & Certification(s)
- Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s preferred
- Experience at a Division I FBS or FCS institution
- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Must have the ability to work in large groups and individually
- Must have great communication skills
- Must be able to lead large groups of people
- Working knowledge of all NCAA compliance rules and regulations
- Must have a vast understanding of all social media platforms
Additional Eligibility Requirements
- Must be eligible to work in the United States of America, without sponsorship.
- Must be eligible to work on a military installation, including a willingness to submit to a background screen.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Work Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Should be able to lift at least 45 pounds
- Should be able to stand for long periods of time
- Will be asked to work in inclement weather including rain and extreme temperatures
- Sitting for extended periods (typically 6–8 hours per day)
- Occasional standing or walking (e.g., to retrieve files, go to meetings)
- Hand and finger dexterity (e.g., typing, using a mouse, handling paperwork)
- Repetitive hand and wrist movements (e.g., keyboarding, data entry)
- Visual acuity (e.g., reading screens, documents)
- Hearing ability (e.g., participating in phone calls, video conferences)
- Basic upper body movement (e.g., reaching for office supplies, opening drawers)
- Occasional bending or twisting (e.g., picking up items, adjusting seating)
- Cognitive focus and mental stamina (e.g., prolonged concentration on tasks)
Travel
- This job requires travel with the Navy Football team. There will be overnight and weekend travel.

Pay Range
$50,000 - $60,000
