Job Summary:
We are seeking a full time licensed and experienced Property and Casualty (P&C) Customer Service Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of P&C insurance products, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to manage client accounts efficiently and professionally. This position involves servicing existing policies, assisting clients with coverage questions, processing policy changes, and supporting producers and underwriters to maintain high client retention.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Service & Account Management:
Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries via phone, email, or in-person.
Process policy changes, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and reinstatements.
Review policies to ensure adequate coverage and provide recommendations as needed.
Assist in resolving billing issues, claims follow-up, and policy discrepancies.
Maintain and update client records and documentation accurately in the agency management system.
Policy Servicing:
Issue certificates of insurance, auto ID cards, and other policy documents.
Coordinate with underwriters and carriers to resolve policy-related issues.
Track and follow up on renewals, expirations, and underwriting requirements.
Ensure compliance with agency and carrier guidelines.
Sales Support:
Assist producers with quoting, binding, and onboarding new clients.
Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts including life insurance.
Provide support for marketing efforts and client outreach campaigns.
Compliance & Continuing Education:
Maintain active P&C license and complete required continuing education.
Adhere to all federal and state insurance regulations.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethical conduct.
Qualifications:
Active Property & Casualty Insurance License.
Minimum of 2–3 years experience as a CSR in a property and casualty insurance setting.
Strong knowledge of insurance terminology, policy forms, and coverages.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Professional, courteous, and client-focused demeanor.
Preferred:
Experience with specific systems such as Salesforce but we will teach you systems!
Familiarity with both personal and commercial lines (commercial not required but desirable).
An understanding or willingness to learn about the importance of life insurance. Opportunity to get licensed in life insurance if not already.
