Position Overview

We are seeking a TIG Welder with hands-on experience and an eye for precision. This position plays a crucial role in fabricating and assembling high-quality metal components. You’ll be working with a range of materials including aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel, performing welds that meet strict quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Precision Welding: Perform high-quality TIG welds and occasionally MIG/Stick welding based on project needs.

  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and apply technical drawings and welding symbols to execute jobs accurately.

  • Material Handling: Work with aluminum, stainless steel, and steel; prepare and position materials for welding.

  • Quality Assurance: Inspect and test welds to ensure strength, alignment, and quality compliance.

  • Tool Operation: Use fabrication tools including grinders, cutters, drills, and weld gauges to support the welding process.

  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and report malfunctions.

  • Safety: Follow OSHA safety procedures and use proper PPE at all times.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with machinists, engineers, and inspectors to ensure projects meet deadlines and quality expectations.

  • Customization: Modify and repair metal parts, structures, and components as necessary.

  • Documentation: Track work completed and material usage for reporting and traceability.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of TIG welding experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.

  • Skilled in welding stainless steel, aluminum, and steel.

  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.

  • Proficient in using grinders, cutters, calipers, micrometers, and similar tools.

  • Excellent attention to detail, craftsmanship, and work ethic.

  • Understanding of industry safety standards and welding procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Welding Certifications (TIG/MIG).

  • Experience working with exotic metals or high-pressure systems.

  • Background in automated welding or CNC equipment.
