Pay Rate: $65,000 + 5% Bonus

About the Role
As the Manager, CSSR, you will oversee Customer Sales and Service Representatives and Event Coordinators, ensuring seamless execution of sales, service, and operational support for events. You’ll take ownership of event preparation, staff scheduling, client relations, and customer service operations to uphold Smart City’s reputation for excellence.
This hands-on leadership role is perfect for someone with strong managerial abilities, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a passion for customer success. You’ll work closely with clients, exhibitors, facility management, and internal teams to ensure event service runs efficiently while fostering professional development within your team.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee customer sales and service for assigned shows and events at field locations
- Supervise CSSRs and Event Coordinators, ensuring effective team management and coordination
- Create staffing schedules and oversee exhibitor lists to maintain service efficiency
- Lead, direct, and motivate staff, managing attendance, performance, and professional development
- Ensure timely service, accurate billing, and strategic upselling to meet customer expectations
- Maintain awareness of major events and proactively allocate resources for operational success
- Attend pre-show conferences to assess client needs and align service strategy
- Represent Smart City Networks at facility meetings and off-site client events
- Manage the delivery, return, tracking, and inventory updates for customer-leased equipment
- Train, mentor, and develop staff, providing performance plans and coaching
- Oversee customer service desk operations and ensure accurate system input
- Resolve day-to-day customer service issues, billing disputes, and data entry corrections
- Communicate with other internal departments to streamline customer service functions
- Maintain office supply inventory and budget compliance
- Perform additional duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring
- Associate Degree required; BA preferred in Business or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on customer sales and service experience
- 2+ years in management role, leading customer service teams
- Experience in trade shows, event services, or telecommunications preferred
- Strong ability to manage teams, solve problems, and lead customer interactions
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong negotiation abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and customer service software
- Experience with ICVerify or similar credit card processing systems (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of telecom and electrical services for event operations
