Contract Duration: 12 months
Worksite Location: Minnetonka, MN (Hybrid)
Compensation: $40-50/hr

What you will do as an Accountant:

Perform detailed attribute testing of financial data and reports
Reconcile accounts to ensure accurate financial records
Support internal and external audits and regulatory filings
Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy
Participate in special projects and produce ad hoc financial reports
Implement and maintain effective internal controls to support compliance and reporting integrity

What you will bring to the Accountant role:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with 5–7 years of relevant work in accounting or finance
Strong background in the health insurance industry (highly preferred)
Advanced proficiency in Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite
Deep understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Experience supporting audits and preparing budgets and forecasts
Ability to analyze complex financial data and communicate insights clearly and professionally
Proven attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
CPA designation preferred
