We are seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to support our client in Milford, Connecticut, for a 1-year contract period. The ideal candidate will have experience in performing detailed inspections, including first-article inspections and receiving inspections, as well as implementing root cause and corrective actions. This role requires proficiency in measurement tools, reading engineering drawings, and ensuring compliance with industry and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

    • Provide detailed in-process and end-of-line inspections on flight hardware.
    • Document anomalies in accordance with prescribed procedures and processes.
    • Communicate and help resolve quality-related issues as they relate to the site.
    • Process non-conforming products and assist engineering in root cause analysis and corrective action if asked.
    • Routinely observe technical operations and offer guidance and/or serve as an additional technical resource.
    • Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.

Required Qualifications

    • (*) Must be a US Persons with multiple valid forms of identification (Driver License, Passport, Birth Certificate, Green Card, etc.)
    • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
    • 8+ years of inspection experience in an aerospace, military, or manufacturing environment
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to deescalate workplace conflicts
    • Ability to adapt to multiple environments and groups within supplier operations
    • Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs. unassisted
    • Must be able to climb ladders, stoop, bend, crawl, and work in tight spaces
    • Experience with specific commodity based on parts inspected
    • Must be capable of validating dimensions (total tolerances >/=.005” with Minimal GD&T validation)
    • Must be able to utilize standard hand tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gages)
    • Must have immediate knowledge of computer/tablets

Mileage Compensation ($0.67 per mile driven to and from supplier site)
