Job Summary: The Lead Service Technician is a highly experienced and skilled professional responsible for overseeing all aspects of service and maintenance operations within service stations and convenience gas stations. The Lead Service Technician also serves as a mentor to other technicians, providing training and support as needed. This person is expected to lead by example, demonstrating advanced technical skills and a commitment to quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all duties of a Senior Service Technician, including leading complex installation, maintenance, and repair projects.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of all service and maintenance activities, ensuring they are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve service operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety standards and regulations during all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Provide expert technical support and guidance to Service Technician 1, 2, 3, and 4 team members.
  • Conduct advanced training sessions for technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including comprehensive reports on complex issues and resolutions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as a point of contact for escalated issues and provide solutions to complex problems.
  • Participate in management meetings and contribute to decision-making processes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve service operations.
  • Mentor and develop junior technicians, preparing them for future leadership roles.
  • Lead and manage a team of technicians, providing direction, support, and performance evaluations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must have a valid Driver License.
  • Familiarity with computer operations and an aptitude for learning computer skills.
  • Gilbarco Dispenser certification and Veeder Root Tank Monitor certification, preferred.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to repetitively lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 pounds, frequent bending, stooping, standing 8-10 hours per day.
  • Must be able to meet company’s employment requirements, which includes passing a drug screen, criminal background check, and MVR, if driving for the company.
