We are seeking an experienced and certified HVAC & CPO (Certified Pool Operator) Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee the maintenance operations of our residential or commercial property. This leadership role is responsible for supervising maintenance staff, performing skilled HVAC and pool-related repairs, and ensuring the overall upkeep and safety of the facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise the daily activities of the maintenance team.
Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, including boilers, chillers, furnaces, A/C units, and ventilation systems.
Perform routine and emergency maintenance on pools and spas in compliance with CPO standards.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and inventory control.
Coordinate with property management on capital improvements, preventive maintenance plans, and project scheduling.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local building codes and safety regulations.
Respond promptly to service requests and after-hours maintenance emergencies.
Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify maintenance needs.
Train and mentor junior technicians and provide technical guidance as needed.
Assist in budgeting for maintenance supplies and vendor services.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (technical/trade school preferred).
Minimum 5 years of hands-on HVAC experience.
Current EPA 608 Certification (Type II or Universal required).
Current Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license.
Proven experience in a supervisory or lead technician role.
Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance repair.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in varying environmental conditions.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with building management systems (BMS) and HVAC control software.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Experience working in apartment communities, HOAs, or commercial real estate settings.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate or salary based on experience + benefits (medical, dental, vision, PTO, etc.)
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, with rotating on-call availability for emergencies.
