Job Description

*Drive truck between manufacturing facility in Reading, PA and cold storage facility in Lancaster, PA.

No long-distance or overnight trips! $1,000 signing bonus! $1,000 retention bonus after 6 months of service!

QUALIFICATIONS:

Class A CDL driver’s license with minimum of 3 years experience.
Ability to process paperwork and operate basic office equipment including copier and fax machine.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work 3rd shift - Sunday to Thursday, 9:00 pm to 5:30 am (7pm start on Sundays)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform vehicle safety check at the beginning of shift. Assure that fuel tanks are maintained at sufficient levels at all times.
Receive bills of lading from Materials Supervisor for shipments between production plants or to cold storage facility. Make copies and distribute as needed.
Assist material control in loading product onto trucks for shipment.
Drive trucks to cold storage facility to deliver product.
- Pick up daily paperwork from cold storage facility on the first run of the day and return to Materials Supervisor (1st shift only)
- Move vehicles and trailers on the premises as needed. Monitor trailer temperatures and assure proper temperature settings.
- Verify proper product for returns from cold storage facility. Distribute return bill of lading to Transportation Supervisor and post on board in Material Control area.
