Job Details

We are seeking a Shop Technician to become an integral part of our team! You will be mainly responsible for diagnosing and repairing/tuning-up power equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately diagnose and repair power equipment
• Assemble and stock power equipment and accessories
• Rotate, down stock, front, and price shop merchandise
• Sharpen chainsaw chains and mower blades
• Utilize vendor warranty processes to submit warranty claims for processing
• Recommend products based on customer's unique situation
• Regularly clean repair and shop counter areas
• Attend training sessions to further product and technical knowledge
• Input part orders accurately and notify managers of immediate part needs
• Check in customer equipment for repair
• Occasional travel to other store locations to help with equipment repairs

Qualifications:

• Previous experience with small engines is required
• Thorough knowledge of 2-cycle and 4-cycle engine systems
• Ability to expand on one's knowledge base to stay current with power equipment trends
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Willingness to learn and be receptive to new ideas
• Work well individually or as part of a group
