Substitute Teacher – San Antonio, TX

Teachers Now is currently hiring dedicated and dependable Substitute Teachers to serve schools throughout San Antonio, TX. This position offers a meaningful opportunity to support students, maintain learning momentum, and contribute to a positive school culture when classroom teachers are absent.

$90–$120 per day
(Pay is based on your education level and/or teaching certification)

• Implement lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher to ensure consistency in instruction

• Create a safe, respectful, and organized learning environment

• Support student participation, engagement, and behavior management

• Supervise students throughout the school day, including lunch, recess, and transitions

• Assign and review classwork and homework aligned with the day's objectives

• Take attendance and report behavioral or academic concerns to school staff

• Collaborate with school personnel to support academic and behavioral goals

• For long-term assignments, develop and deliver lesson plans aligned with curriculum

• Monday through Friday availability required

• Full Day: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Half Day: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM

• Minimum of 60 college credit hours or an Associate Degree (required)

• Bachelor’s Degree or valid Texas Teacher Certification (preferred)

• At least 1 year of experience in a classroom or childcare setting

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality
