Solar Pool Supply is looking for a warehouse laborer to help wrap/prepare solar pool heating panels for shipping, as well as cut, fold & package solar pool covers. Position requires a good deal of physical labor. Candidates must be capable of  moving boxes up to 65 lbs. and work on their feet for a full 8-hour shift. A successful candidate will not shy away from hard, physically demanding work.

The primary attributes we are looking for are hard-working individuals that are reliable and show up to work each and every day ready to work their hardest to accomplish whatever tasks are required that day. No prior experience is required; however, warehouse and/or shipping/fulfillment experience is a big plus. We can and are willing to train anyone with a great work ethic who has attention to detail and a willingness to learn.

The warehouse laborer is a full-time, hourly position.

JOB DESCRIPTION & OVERVIEW

The position we are looking to fill involves two main areas of focus. The first is fabricating, cutting, folding & boxing swimming pool covers. The position will be responsible for coordinating with the warehouse manager which cover sizes & materials need to be made, assuring the order is completed in a timely and accurate manner. This position requires a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic and strong attention to detail.

Secondary responsibilities will involve shipping & fulfilling orders for solar pool heater panels, parts and DIY kits (bundling, packaging, boxing and shipping parts/panels in a timely and accurate manner). This position will assist the warehouse manager with duties or tasks requested to assure a neat and orderly warehouse, including counting, maintaining & organizing supplies and inventory.

The right candidate for this role will be a team player with a strong work ethic who contributes to the success of Solar Pool Supply on a daily basis. We’re looking for a candidate capable of completing activities in a time-sensitive environment while ensuring a high level of quality control. JOB SCHEDULE

• Day shift (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM).
• Monday to Friday.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Basic computer skills are highly preferred (E-Mail, Microsoft Office)
  • This position will be working with ShipStation on a daily basis (a basic working knowledge of using computers and being comfortable using them is preferred).
• Must be able to move boxes up to 100 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with timeline requirements.
• Ability to operate a forklift is highly preferred!

• The ability to operate a forklift, safely and efficiently, is highly preferred.

• Someone willing to do whatever tasks are needed to better the warehouse operations, organization and cleanliness.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Fabricate & package swimming pool covers (cut, fold, package & ship orders, as well as prepare most popular sizes/models in bulk for future needs).
• Work with the warehouse manager to ensure all needed cover sizes are being completed and prepped.
• Assist with boxing, packaging & shipping online orders as needed.
• Work to maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment (inventory organization is CRUCIAL!)
• Guarantee all orders are packaged to the highest standards and shipped on time!
• Wrap and/or roll solar pool heating panels to prepare for shipping.
• Assist the warehouse manager with any shipping & fulfillment duties as needed.
  • May require bundling of various hardware components into “Pre-Bundled Packages”, assuring sufficient quantities are maintained throughout the year to meet peak season demand. Many of our products are bundled packages with multiple components. These products need to be bundled in advance to allow for timely fulfillment during the busy season).
• Help with the unloading & loading of pallet/large truck deliveries & shipments.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse!

COMPENSATION

• $13-16 per hour, DOE.
• Company contribution toward medical, dental, and vision benefits (eligible after 60-days of full-time employment).
• 40 hours of paid vacation per year (eligible after 1 year of full-time employment).
• Paid holidays - New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving & Christmas (eligible after 90-days of full-time employment).

BENEFITS

The Company offers a competitive package of health, vision, and dental care insurance. Coverage begins on the first day of the month following sixty (60) days of full-time employment. Following one (1) year of full-time employment, you will also be eligible to begin accruing, on a weekly basis, up to one (1) week of paid vacation.
