Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technician with at least 5 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in low voltage, Fiber Optic, Voice/Data cabling, CCTV, Access Control, Alarms, and Audio-Video.This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Senior Low Voltage Tech is responsible for installing and maintaining low voltage systems and structured cabling for security and voice/data systems.

Duties

• Installation of low voltage cabling (CAT6 / CAT5 cabling, Coax, CCTV, A/V wiring, fiber, copper etc)
• Installation of alarm and access control systems
• Installing Support Structures (Racks, Ladder racks, J-Hooks)
• Testing/Troubleshooting network issues (Connectivity, other Low Voltage Cable associated issues)
• Blueprint reading
• Troubleshoot and deliver to the client a full working system.
• Terminating and Installing connectors.
• Dressing and fastening cables
• Familiarity with BiCSi, EIA, TIA, NEC, and other Industry Standards a Plus!
• Networking Experience a Plus!

Experience

• SENIOR LOW VOLTAGE TECH MUST HAVE 5 YEARS OF CABLING EXPERIENCE!
• MUST have reliable transportation
• MUST be able to work between the hours of 6am-4pm
• MUST have all standard Telecom Hand Tools (Punch, Snips, Strippers, Cordless Drill, Etc...)
• New Hires will be required to take a Background Check & Pre-Employment Drug Screen. Must have neat appearance, valid CA. State Drivers License, Able to climb ladders, crawl in ceilings, keep up to date paperwork and be neat and thorough with all aspects of their responsibilities, and work over time when required.
• Customer service skills are a must as there will be frequent interaction with the customer
