A longstanding A/E/PMCM firm is currently interviewing for a Contract Administrator in our San Antonio office. This position will play a pivotal role in overseeing the entire lifecycle of our contracts, from initial drafting and negotiations to final execution and closeout. You will work closely with the department’s Project Managers and Sunland’s executive team to ensure the contracts are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
· Will oversee all aspects of contract administration, including negotiation, correspondence, documentation, financial reporting, and compliance.
· Assist in the development of proposals, contracts, change orders and subcontracts.
· Act as a point of contact for all contract-related inquiries and facilitate communication between different parties. Set meetings as needed.
· Review and monitor contractual obligations
· Identify potential risks and provide guidance for resolving issues
· Manage project budgets, track deliverables, and profit
Requirements
· 3 years of experience preferably in design/construction industry
- Bachelor’s degree or applicable certification in Business Administration, public administration, or construction project management.
- Strong contract knowledge understanding contract language, provisions and legal requirements.
- Team player, excellent interpersonal skills and a cooperative attitude
- Analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in word and excel. Sharepoint experience a plus. Quickbooks knowledge a plus but not required.
· Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and be able to pass background and fingerprinting on a federal level.
Additional Job Details
· Consult with client to determine project requests and prepare cost proposal regarding specifications, design, scheduling and estimated cost, with the assistance of supervisor.
· Prepare detailed estimates, quantity take-offs with extensions, analyzing data on all factors that can influence cost and written specifications for all types of construction.
· Responsible for providing project updates and maintaining communication with stakeholders to include project plan milestones, issue resolution, budget reconciliation.
· Create and maintain strong relationships with clients.
· Depending on office location there may be some travel required.
