Overview

KJ Electric, the largest independant electric motor distributor in the Northeast, is actively seeking an Outside Account Executive. This is a full-time role for a motivated sales professional looking to work in industrial distribution. The job combines client management and a consultative sales approach, ideal for individuals who are confident interacting with a wide range of roles—from CEOs to maintenance technicians.

Responsibilities

Account Management:

· Maintain and grow business within existing customer accounts.

· Develop solid, long-term relationships with a wide range of customer personnel, including engineering and purchasing departments.

New Business Development:

· Actively prospect to expand the customer base.

· Conduct on-site visits to identify opportunities for new product and service introductions.

Sales Execution:

· Achieve defined sales goals by leveraging technical knowledge and customer insights.

· Promote solutions across electric motors, drives, controls, and related power transmission products.

Team Collaboration:

· Work closely with the inside sales team to ensure customer satisfaction and coordinated service delivery.

Requirements

Individuals who are proactive, organized, and strong communicators. Key qualifications include:

Experience:

· Minimum 2 yrs of proven outside sales experience in industrial products or 2 yrs inside customer service sales.

· Demonstrated success in territory development and customer retention.

Skills:

· Mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand technical products.

· Excellent written and verbal communication.

· Ability to establish rapport and build lasting customer relationships.

Other:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Valid driver's license with a clean MVR.

· Willingness to tour industrial facilities as part of the sales process.
