We are seeking a highly experienced Head Accountant to lead our accounting department and oversee all financial functions. This role is critical in managing company books, ensuring financial compliance, streamlining processes, and supporting executive leadership with financial reporting and strategy. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in staffing and hospitality, and the ability to manage large-scale financial operations across multiple states.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, payroll, and compliance
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for over 3,000 employees
• Monitor and forecast cash flow, budgeting, and cost control
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and legal entities
• Collaborate closely with staffing and hotel operations teams for financial tracking and profitability
• Train and lead a small finance support team; promote teamwork and accountability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Strong background in staffing services and/or hospitality finance
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros a plus)
• Experience with multi-state payroll and tax compliance
• Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
• Strong communication and leadership abilities
