A well-established manufacturing operation in Western Suffolk County is seeking an experienced Quality Lead to manage quality assurance activities with a strong emphasis on audits, inspections, and continuous improvement. This individual will ensure that all products and processes meet stringent quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, schedule, and lead internal and external quality audits to ensure compliance with industry regulations, ISO standards, and company policies.

• Conduct and oversee incoming, in-process, and final product inspections using precision measurement tools, visual inspection techniques, and detailed documentation.

• Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to resolve quality concerns, implement corrective actions, and drive preventative measures.

• Develop and maintain quality documentation, procedures, and work instructions to meet regulatory and customer requirements.

• Track, analyze, and report quality metrics and trends, recommending process improvements based on findings.

• Provide training and mentorship to quality inspectors and production teams to ensure consistent quality standards across all operations.

• Work directly with customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies during audits, inspections, and product reviews.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong background in audit processes (internal, supplier, and customer) and inspection techniques.

• Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and industry standards.

• Hands-on experience with measurement tools, inspection equipment, and root cause analysis.

• Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, or other relevant quality management systems.
