Philly Area Based Company Designing, Building, Customizing, Troubleshooting PLC Automation Systems (SCADA, DCS, HMI, MES/MEP, Process Control) for Multiple Essential Manufacturing Industries, Stable Growing Firm.

Please Note: this is a hybrid-on-site role, work on site a few days per week.

Desired Skills/Experience:

• Minimum of five years of experience working with C# for applications involving industrial control systems or data acquisition from industrial control systems: PLC Driven SCADA, DCS, Process Control, MES/MEP, HMI or similar.
• Experience connecting Windows code to SQL Server and/or Oracle databases (database coding is a plus).
• Experience using WinForms, CLI/CLR, SQL Server and coding multi-threaded applications are strong pluses.
• Experience coding on-in-around communications protocols is preferred (Inter-Process Communication [IPC], Windows Sockets [Winsock], ModBus, named pipes, memory-mapped files); must be willing to learn communication protocol specifications related to industrial networks and control systems (for coding and code connectivity purposes)
• Experience with QA and code testing: Write test fixtures and unit tests to verify software performance.
• A Bachelor’s or higher level degree in computer science, electrical engineering or computer engineering or a very similar field is preferred
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing.
• Past or Current Experience ‘Re-Coding’ legacy code and applications into a ‘modern’ Windows Stack (C#) is a plus.
