Job Description

Ok, good job, you can FINALLY stop scrolling because this is the job you have been looking for! We are looking for a knowledgeable & dynamic Senior Landscape Maintenance Account Manager to join our amazing team at Pacific Landscape Management in Pacific, WA. Experience in residential and commercial accounts is required. This position will need a minimum of 4 years of commercial account maintenance experience.

We have been around for over 30 years as an owner-operated business.

We have a relaxed atmosphere in the office (business casual meets jeans, think golf course chic), and we want a team member who has a passion for this industry to come and join us!

Duties include:

  • Making sure our employees' needs are met through quality communication.
  • Check out the sites often, so that you know the ins and outs of the properties to ensure they are up to the client's standards. You will also need to be able to resolve any workable resolutions as they pop up.
  • Experienced with estimating and bidding enhancement work on new and current contracts.
  • Scheduling, day-to-day assignments, routing, and overall performance management of the maintenance crews under your care. Being experienced in labor tracking software is a must to ensure our employees' hours are tracked and assigned to the right jobs.
  • Make sure your crews have the equipment, knowledge (training), and anything they might need to get their job tasks done and done to our and the client’s standards.
  • Keep an eye on the company’s property (vehicles, equipment, shop, and customer worksites). We know it is not yours, but we need someone who treats it like it is.
  • Work closely with our admin support team to make sure all the fun paperwork is done on time, and it is done accurately.
  • Fairly obvious, but it does need to be said that we are a business and the whole point of doing this is to make money!! You will need to operate within a budget. If you need to deviate from a budget or task, or you need help with a workable solution, get the Director of Operations involved. It is one of the reasons we have a Director of Operations.
  • Manage the business across multiple accounts and drive efficiencies in labor, expenses, and budgets. Help us stay competitive and fuel the growth of the business.
  • Mentor, coach, and train your crews so that they can take over the world!!! Just kidding, not take over the world, but be ready and able to tackle their days responsibly and to the client's standard.
  • Be reliable, be on time, and most importantly, lead by example.
  • Things happen in this business, and you might have to adjust your plan on a moment’s notice, so be flexible. Hold on tight, we will get through this together!

Qualifications:

  • (5) years in the landscaping field.
  • (3) years of experience in property management.
  • (3) years of experience working with irrigation repairs, installs, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of Aspire (project tracking) is a plus.
  • Common PNW Plant identification, Disease and Pest Identification, and pruning/planting techniques for PNW plants are required.
  • Able to complete work reports and punch lists in a timely and articulate manner with above-average writing skills.
  • Experience with leading and supervising crews of 3-12 people. Able to delegate on-site.
  • Able to juggle tasks and prioritize work on sites with subcontractors so that the work gets done efficiently.
  • Knowledge of 2-cycle engines.
  • Active WA State pesticide license or ability to get one within 90 days of hire.
  • WA State driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a background check.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, bilingual a plus, English & Spanish.
  • Proficient with Microsoft software: Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Strong knowledge of safety guidelines for the outdoor environment/work.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Alright, that is the “nuts & bolts” of this position, so what are you waiting for? Apply and see what PLM is all about! We can’t wait to meet you!

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent standing and walking for extended periods, and sitting occasionally.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to recognize and identify products both near and from a distance.
  • Able to extensively handle and move materials and perform physical activities - using hands, arms, and legs in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.
  • Must be able to work on a computer or at a desk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to use a computer and see color and differentiate between products.
  • Ability to work extended hours and in inclement weather.
