Field Service Technician

Summary

As a Field Service Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the optimal performance and functionality of our CNC machines across various customer facility locations. With a focus on major repairs and troubleshooting, you will be responsible for traveling to our customers' sites, diagnosing complex issues, and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime and maximize machine efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

- Provide on-site technical support to distributors for CNC machines requiring major repairs or troubleshooting

- Perform thorough inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity

- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to identify root causes of machine malfunctions and implement appropriate solutions

- Foster positive relationships with customers by delivering exceptional service, addressing their concerns promptly, and offering proactive solutions to enhance machine performance

- Provide technical training and guidance to customer personnel on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CNC machines to enhance their capabilities and minimize reliance on external support

Job Requirements

- 5+ years of experience in field service for CNC machinery manufacturer

- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with a solid understanding of CNC machinery operation, PLCs, maintenance, and repair techniques

- Experience repairing various CNC machines, mills, lathes, 4-axis, etc.

- Experience working in precision tooling with tolerance levels in microns

- Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% of the time to distributor locations across the US
