We are growing!! Freightliner-Western Star of Maine is seeking enthusiastic, organized, and hard-working individuals to join our team. Come and join a winning team that extends from Westbrook to Fort Kent. We are looking for someone willing to work both sides of our parts department in our newly acquired Fairfield location. This position will be used as shipping and receiving in the morning then working the parts counter in the afternoon. Experience is preferred but we are always willing to train the right person. Pay will depend on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Answer phone calls and assist customers and/or mechanics
• Invoicing cash and charge customers
• Examine and report all parts or materials damaged in shipment
• Receive shipments coming in
• Preparing shipments going to outside locations
• Help coordinate loading of parts delivery truck(s)
• Restock parts and materials as needed
• Fill orders from inventory
• Examine returned goods for credit

Requirements:

• Valid Maine driver’s license
• Positive attitude
• Basic computer skills
• Familiarity with heavy truck or automotive systems (ex. Engines, drive-trains, suspensions, etc.)
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis
• Ability to work as a team
• Ability to participate in physical inventory
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos
• Ability to explain information to fellow co-workers and/or customers
• Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations
