Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our

Finance/Accounting team. This role is responsible for processing invoices, verifying

financial data, and ensuring timely payments to vendors. The ideal candidate will have

strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced

environment.

Key Responsibilities:

 Review, verify, and process vendor invoices and employee expense reports

 Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts

 Enter invoice data into the accounting system accurately and in a timely manner

 Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date

 Resolve invoice discrepancies and issues with vendors

 Reconcile accounts payable transactions

 Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments

 Maintain accurate and organized financial records

 Assist in month-end closing and reporting processes

 Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding payments and invoices

 Support audits by providing necessary documentation and reports

Qualifications:

 High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Accounting or

related field preferred

 Proven experience in accounts payable (5 years minimum)

 Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, SAP, Oracle)

 Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

 Excellent organizational and time-management skills

 Strong attention to detail and accuracy

 Ability to handle confidential information with integrity

Preferred Skills:

 Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles

 Experience with ERP systems (QuickBooks and Sage Intacct preferred)

 Strong communication and interpersonal skills

 Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Salary: $25 - $30 per hour, commensurate with experience
