Pay Range: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour | Part-Time / Hourly
Schedule: Approximate Shift Times Monday-Friday (M, T, TH, F 2:25 PM - 6:15 PM and W 1:10 - 6:15 PM)

About the Role:

Start2Finish is seeking a caring and energetic Part-Time Program Instructor to join our school-based team at Commodore Sloat Elementary. You will provide supervision and engagement during after-school hours, facilitating enrichment courses, recreation, academic support, and social-emotional learning opportunities designed to help students thrive beyond the classroom.

This is a part-time, on-site position during the school year, running from August through early June.

What You’ll Do:

• Supervise and engage students during after-school hours, leading structured games and recreation activities.

• Facilitate after-school enrichment courses such as arts, sports, STEM, homework help, and social-emotional learning.

• Foster a positive environment that encourages teamwork, respect, and inclusion.

• Build positive relationships with students, families, school staff, and your Start2Finish team.

• Ensure safety, behavior management, and smooth program operations.

What We’re Looking For:

• GED or high school diploma (required); Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, or related field preferred.

• Minimum 12 core semester units in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field (required).

• Experience working with children in group settings (after-school, camps, etc.).

• Positive role model with strong communication and behavior management skills.

• Ability to actively supervise and lead recreation and enrichment activities.

• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

• Ability to pass all required background checks.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to actively engage in physical activities, including sports, games, and outdoor play.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds for activity setup or moving supplies.
