Job Summary

• Adjusts, services and repairs cars, trucks, and buses.

General Accountabilities

• Performs a full range of skilled automotive repair work, such as minor and major tune-ups, electrical and computer systems, servicing, and engine overhauls.
• Inspects automotive equipment to determine the corrective action necessary.
• Repairs automotive equipment.

• Instructs operators in the proper use and servicing of their equipment.

• Operates and maintains automotive shop equipment.
• Performs minor welding and brazing work.
• Keeps records and creates reports pertaining to repairs performed.
• Notifies Service Advisors immediately of any additional problems with the vehicle.
• Prepares detailed parts request forms, and presents to parts' department.
• Upon completion of the requested repairs, test drives unit and makes sure there are no finger prints on the unit; parks unit and returns keys to the Service Advisor.

Job Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: 2-3 years related experience
