Job Title: Civil Construction Foreman
Location: On-Site – Hubert, NC (Greater Jacksonville, NC Area)
Pay Range: $25/hour – $30/hour (based on experience and level)
Job Type: Full-Time
Expected Hours: Minimum 40 hours/week

About the Role

Client is seeking experienced and motivated Civil Construction Foremen (Foreman I – III) to lead field crews and manage on-site construction activities. This is a hands-on leadership position ideal for individuals with experience in equipment operation, utility construction, plan interpretation, and crew supervision.

You’ll play a vital role in driving construction progress, managing resources, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met across civil and utility infrastructure projects. Candidates with ambitions for advancement into Project Management roles are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate site equipment and assist or train crew members as needed

• Interpret and execute construction plans and site drawings

• Manage daily activities of the field crew to meet production goals

• Communicate with general contractors and internal project teams

• Use and maintain grading tools including pipe lasers, rotary lasers, and transits

• Maintain accurate daily logs and report site progress/issues to the office

• (Foreman II & III) Order materials, coordinate trucking, and manage equipment rentals

• (Foreman II & III) Utilize tools like Buildertrend, Procore, Trimble DA-2, and Autodesk

• Lead one or more projects concurrently based on experience

• Collaborate with office staff on billing, procurement, scheduling, and documentation

• Represent Client professionally in all job site meetings

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Construction Foreman or similar supervisory role

• Proficient in heavy equipment operation and interpreting civil/site plans

• Strong utility installation experience: sanitary sewer, stormwater, domestic/fire water

• Familiarity with NCDEQ regulations and compliance

• Proven leadership, planning, and crew coordination skills

• Working knowledge of construction technologies (Buildertrend, iPads, GPS, lasers, etc.)

• Effective communicator with both internal teams and external partners

• (Foreman III) Career ambition for growth into Project Management roles

Schedule & Location

• Schedule: 10-hour shifts (Full-time)

• Location: On-site – Projects based in Jacksonville, NC 28540 area

• Must be able to commute or relocate before start date
