Whitney Brothers Co. is a local woodworking manufacturer of children's furniture that has been in business since 1904 and is Employee Owned. They are currently seeking production workers for: 1st shift (Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) .

Responsibilities:

• Flexible, willing to try new methods, with creativity being a plus.
• Follow all safety policies for general plant safety and specific machinery/workstations.
• Take action to minimize waste and maximize output.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work at a fast pace to meet department units and production needs.
• Constant focus with mental and visual attention is required to monitor product quality process.
• Requires flexibility for performing various job duties, as well as have the ability to adapt to changing assignments as needed to meet production demands.
• Requires visual and judgmental skills in determining an acceptable or unacceptable quality of parts during assembly and packing processes.

Physical Requirements:

• Standing for full shift
• Bending and squatting
• Lifting 5 to 40 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Lifting 40 to 70 lbs. on a frequent basis.
• Lifting 70 to 150 lbs. of shared weight on an occasional basis.
• Repetitive motion usage of hands
• Firm grasping.
• Manual dexterity.
