Business Office and Financial Aid Advisor
Location: Sebastopol, CA (In-person, on-site required)

You area highly motivated and organized Business Office and Financial Aid Advisor to support students studying abroad by guiding them through financial aid processes and budget planning. This position serves as a key resource for students, families, and university partners, providing clear and accurate financial guidance. The role requires a strong foundation in financial aid systems, attention to detail, and a student-focused approach.

This position pays$28.00 to $30.00 per hour

What you will be doing:

  • Advise students and families on applying financial aid toward study abroad costs
  • Interpret and explain financial aid policies, including federal, state, and institutional guidelines
  • Process financial aid deferment paperwork and monitor student payment timelines
  • Maintain accurate internal financial records and student account documentation
  • Provide budget counseling and payment deferral options
  • Ensure compliance with SAI’s Cancellation Policy and prepare internal financial aid reports
  • Collaborate with universities and maintain communication with students and families
  • Utilize systems such as Ellucian, PeopleSoft, Google Drive, Excel, QuickBooks, and HubSpot

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field (preferred)
  • Experience in financial aid advising, accounting, or student services (preferred)
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft/Google platforms
  • Ability to explain complex financial aid concepts clearly to diverse audiences
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple student accounts
  • Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and team collaboration
