Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $19.00 per hour

Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the overall functionality of our facilities and equipment. Your work is critical to ensuring a safe, clean, and fully operational environment for residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on equipment and building systems

• Address maintenance requests promptly and efficiently

• Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track work orders and document repairs

• Conduct plastering, painting, and sheetrock repairs

• Complete all "make-ready" tasks for vacant apartment units, including cleaning and repairs

• Remove trash and debris from units before, during, and after turnover

• Repair or replace appliances and fixtures such as stoves, dishwashers, vent hoods, garbage disposals, refrigerators, water heaters, toilets, and sinks

• Troubleshoot and fix plumbing issues including leaks, low water pressure, and clogged drains

• Install kitchen appliances (stoves, refrigerators, microwaves, etc.)

• Follow all safety protocols and adhere to building codes and regulations

• Assist with additional maintenance duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification a plus

• Previous experience in maintenance, preferably in residential or industrial settings

• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems

• Skilled in general repairs, appliance installation, and troubleshooting

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Customer-service mindset with a professional attitude

• Ability to lead or mentor junior maintenance staff is a plus
