Job Details

We are looking for a Medical Assistant to join our family medicine practice. You will be responsible for being proficient in phlebotomy, in-house laboratory testing, and injections. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established and respected practice in South Tampa,

Hours for the position are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Thursday is from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm.

Responsibilities:

• Take vital signs and prepare the patient for the physician
• Perform routine injections and daily phlebotomy tasks
• Assist in performing prior authorizations for medications
• Order supplies and manage the laboratory
• Communicate with patients regarding refills, test results, and provide basic support for the office

​Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant is required
• EMR experience with eClinicalWorks is required
• Strong organizational skills 
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment as a team player
• Strong English proficiency
