Laser Precision, LLC is currently seeking Experienced Welders.
Job Type: Full-time
Job Overview: As a Welder, you will be responsible for the following:
Welds metal parts with welding equipment as specified by layout, welding diagram, or work order by performing the following duties.
1st shift positions are available: 1st shift is Monday- Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm, overtime available throughout the week and on Saturdays

Required Qualifications:
Ability to read and write English.
1-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Eager to bring your skill set into an advanced manufacturing facility.
Must be a detail oriented person willing and able to contribute to a team effort.
Begin and finish each day with a "zero-defect" mentality and commitment to producing a quality, American made product.
MIG and TIG experience
Must successfully complete a weld test administered by a CWI
Physical Requirements and Duties:
Ability to reach, turn, twist, and walk.
Ability to stand for the duration of a work shift.
Ability to lift 35 lbs. at a time.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Forklift experience a plus.
Experience working on a computer.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Follow all quality, process, and safety procedures as defined by departmental procedures or specific work instructions.
- Advise your supervisor of any deficiencies in your work product or the work products of your peers.
- Make any suggestions to improve the quality performance of your department.
- Insist that your supervisor, and management, respond to any improvement initiatives that you may have suggested.
- Understand and Monitor Company Quality Performance and your role in meeting Company Goals.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Positions parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor, or clamps parts together along layout marks.
- Selects equipment according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of metal.
- Examines weld for bead size and other specifications.
- Repairs broken or cracked metal objects, fills holes, and builds up metal parts.
- Preheats workpiece in furnace or with torch when required.
- Lays out, positions, and tack welds workpieces.
- Welds along vertical or overhead weld lines.
- Chips or grinds off excess weld, slag, or spatter.
- Clean or degreases parts.
